Staff Bios

Megan is a native of Salt Lake City and graduated number one in her class from Cameo College of Essential Beauty. She also attended the University of Utah and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Starting at an early age she loved fashion and beauty, and decided to take her interests and turn them in to a career. Megan specializes in dimensional color techniques including ombre, shadow panels, and fashion color blocking. She loves formal and bridal styling, extension work, and razor cutting. Megan is so proud of the team she has assembled at Moore Hair Design, and loves the business of making people look and feel their best. Outside of the salon Megan spends time with her family, loves to golf and play tennis, coach cheerleading, and shop!

Kimberly is from California and brings lots of energy to Moore Hair Design. She has six years in the business but has the natural talent of the most experienced of stylists. Kim became interested in hair as a young girl while watching her older sisters get ready for dates and dances. As a result she is one of MHD's best formal styling artists and specializes in wedding updos. Kim loves a major transformation and enjoys clients who aren't afraid of a change. A lover of red and auburn hair colors, she is always up for trying something new! Also great with hair extensions, she really can give you a whole new look. She admires people who donate hair for 'Locks of Love', and welcomes new clients who want a fun fresh start.

Melinda has been at Moore Hair Design for five years, and has a very loyal client base. When she isn't singing the lyrics to all her favorite rock classics, she is busy creating edgy, fun styles for her clients. She is a great stylist to see if you have a haircut you've been tempted to try, but just can't make the leap! She also works with curly hair, and is an expert at textured cutting and styling. Melinda teaches elementary school part time but says she'll always do hair because it is something she is so passionate about. A graduate of Hairitage Academy, and a former instructor at Paul Mitchell the school, Melinda has years of experience and an understanding of the industry that her clients appreciate. Melinda loves camping, volunteering with Special Olympics, and visiting her family in Australia.

Jessica has been in the industry for 10 years and is extremely passionate about helping clients look their best. Jessica is the regional educator for the Italian hair color line Affinage which takes her to many salons and schools to teach new techniques and product awareness. She enjoys attending beauty trade shows locally, as well as in Chicago and Las Vegas. As a senior stylist Jessica is a great listener and loves to brainstorm new ideas with her clients. She specializes in short hair cuts, texture styling, and Brazilian Blowout. Her experience and creativity helps her master new and exciting looks that her clients love. Outside the salon she loves to spend time with her son and family, take in the great outdoors, and appreciate lots of music.

Holly is MHD's hair replacement expert and has been styling hair for over 16 years. Her expertise and knowledge is apparent and her clients agree. She had an interest in hair at a young age and decided to enter the field with a strong desire to help people. Holly is a hair replacement guru and has worked for the best in the biz when it comes to this unique art. Her long resume includes Squire Natural, Apollo, and Lifelike hair replacement systems. She can customized a hair replacement option for anyone, and her loyal clientele are so happy to have her. She also specializes in hair extensions and Moroccan Keratin Smoothing treatments. Holly loves to sing and travel in her spare time and is a great member of the Moore Hair Design team.

Jessica is a California native and has several years of experience in the industry. She is well-known for her dry cutting, point work, and texturing techniques, but is also great with color and highlights. She is also certified in Brazilian Blowout straightening techniques. Jessica loved the makeup and beauty industry as a teenager, and decided on a professional career in the art of beauty. She has a hands-on approach and loves the social part of her job. Jessica is a people-person, and is great at listening to her clients. She loves to shop, get pedicures, and go to the gym in her spare time, as well as spend time with her son and husband.

Sarah recently moved back to Utah after living in Hawaii for several years. Although she misses the beach, she is happy to be styling at Moore Hair Design. Since a young age she's always been intrigued by the difference a good hair cut and color can make to someone's appearance and confidence level. Sarah wanted to be a stylist to help others feel good about themselves, express her creativity, and fulfill her childhood dreams. She's been styling since 2005 and enjoys utilizing dimensional hair color techniques, texture and layer cutting, and is a curly hair specialist. She also specializes in precision cutting, A-lines, and bob cuts. Sarah loves the outdoors, hiking, skiing, wake-boarding, cooking, animals, painting, and traveling.

Rachel is very artistic and wanted a career in which she could be creative, and have a different experience each day at work. She has been styling hair for over four years and specializes in hair color techniques including ombre, baliage, and color blocking. Rachel is certified in bond and tape-in extensions, and puts extra time in to continuing education classes and trade-shows. Rachel loves clients who make changes to their hair often, and her favorite haircut is a flirty and precise bob. Outside of work, Rachel loves to paint and craft, as well as to repurpose vintage and antique finds. She is also working toward her degree in English.

Emily is a senior stylist with years of experience and great all-around talent. She loves the artistic side of hair styling, and being creative with her clients' looks. She is certified in Great Lengths extensions, and also specializes in layered cuts, A-lines and curly hair cutting and styling. Her bridal work has been featured in Utah Bride & Groom magazine, and she is one of MHD's formal styling experts. Emily has a bubbly personality and her clients love her energy and excitement about her work. Outside of the salon Emily loves to paint and draw, participate in triathlons and races, play cello and piano and spend time with her cute son.

Brooke is Moore Hair Design's premiere hair extension specialist, and is a lead educator for Rock Star Extensions. She travels the country teaching classes to stylists and is an expert in this artistic field. Brooke also specializes in dimensional color techniques and is very detail oriented. She loves the ever-changing industry and the limitless trends to keep up with, making each day at work exciting and new. She has a large clientele of loyal followers who rave about her natural talent and love her spunky attitude. Brooke lives in Idaho full time, but comes to MHD once a month to keep her clients in Utah. In her leisure time Brooke loves to hear live music, work on home improvement projects, and spend time with her daughter and husband.

Ashlen always had fun cutting her dolls' hair growing up, but really fell in love with hairstyling after watching celebrity stylist, Nick Arojo on TLC's 'What Not to Wear'. She was so inspired by his succussful career that she decided to enroll in cosmetology school. Ashlen's talent is apparent in her portfolio of work, and she excells in bridal styling, avante garde editorial looks, and vintage inspired updos. Ashlen has spent many hours in post-graduate workshops in New York, San Francisco, and Las Vegas- and her passion for her craft is very apparent. Her clients rave about her artistic approach to color and highlights as well, and she is also well known for her layered haircutting techniques. Outside of the salon, Ashlen spends her time being a 'health-nut', playing outside, spending time with family, and learning new things.

Carrie has lived all over the U.S. in six different states, but returned to Utah to be near family. Her travels have allowed her to work side-by-side with some of the most talented hair stylists in the industry. She attributes her attention to detail from all of the experience she picked up along the way. With almost 20 years behind the chair, she is an expert in detailed design work and precision finishing of each haircut she does. A former Matrix educator, Carrie loves to use dimmensional color patterns and highlights. She is also specializes in mens hair styling and is very skilled with razor cuts and texture work. In her free time she likes to cook, excercise, write poetry, and work on her completing her college degree in education.

Camille was born and raised in Salt Lake, and likes to joke that she chose to be a hairstylist because growing up she had the worst hairstyles! She's always been drawn to the art of creating beautiful hair. Camille specializes in texture cutting and color. Attention to detail is one of her best qualities as a stylist. With 9 years of experience Camille has grown as a hairstylist and is always continuing her education. She loves learning and keeping up on the latest techniques and trends. Camille's clients are drawn to her accepting and warm personality, and she always takes the time to form relationships with each one of them. Outside of doing hair, she loves skiing, water skiing, tennis, golf, snowmobiling, and trying new things!

Jenna has been in and around the hair industry her whole life. Her mother was a stylist who worked out of their home, and that environment encouraged Jenna to join the industry herself. She began receptioning at a salon at age 17, and worked there while going to cosmetology school. After graduating, she stepped out from behind the desk and started working behind the chair. Jenna's loyal clients love her fun personality and her attention to detail. She specializes in artistic color techniques, 100% human hair extensions, and Brazilian Blowout straightening treatments. Outside of the salon, Jenna loves to be outdoors, play golf, go boating and spend time with her kids and family.
